The process

I am reminded lately how everything is a process; nothing happens overnight, but everything starts with an idea or a dream. Once that idea is given wings it does move forward; it may take weeks, months, years or even exceed our own lifespan, but a dream from God will become reality. You get this sense from reading the Bible - that anything God does takes time. It's usually more than we like, but hey, we're the ones that are in a hurry, and not God! I have heard it said that people are into microwaving, but God's into marinating. A prime example of this is our friends (Nathan & Dawn Hall) who have been preparing to go to Lithuania and influence that tiny nation for Christ; for almost their entire marriage God has been preparing them to go to this small Baltic state that they or most people never heard of before. Their life circumstances have been guided towards this endeavor, and it's quite a story they have. Check out their blog, which is on the links section. Our church (Calvary Baptist) has for months been deliberating and praying in response to changes that have happened to us - one of the obvious ones is that we are bursting at the seams. So now we are in a process of getting the building upgraded for a possible sale and move into another facility. The new coat of paint on the walls reminded us this Palm Sunday of the activity of God; an idea, a dream that is coming to life. The new coats of paint on the walls of the home Angel & I live in remind us of a process that started almost 2 years ago, where someone dared to dream that we could experience healing in our marriage. Thanks God for dreaming that dream for us! Since the realtor came 2 weeks ago the process has moved forward by leaps & bounds, and we expect to have our house ready for sale by the end of the month.
