The Nicolajsens (most of us that is) spent this past weekend camping together, something we've never done before as an extended family. We went to Elk Island National Park, which is 40 km east of Edmonton, and it was such a blast. We ate, hiked, kayaked on Astotin Lake, shot off water rockets and took in an evening at the park theater. After Sunday check-out we went to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Centre for lunch and a tour of this marvelous outdoor museum. I had so much fun on this weekend, and hopefully we can do this again sometime. Here are some snapshots of our weekend, and if you want to see more just click here. Enjoy.
Do you ever wonder what life's all about? Do you wonder what your life is all about? I know I do. Some days I can't make sense of anything. If you're reading this blog, chances are it's because you're interested in life. Not my life per se but life in general. As you read my posts I hope you get a sense of what real life is - at least the pursuit of it. Most important I hope you find who the source of real life is, and how to live from the heart. I won't lie and say I know how. But I am learning...
Who am I? Well, it depends on who you are. To one I'm a husband and, to another, an adoptive father; to two I'm a son and to three I'm a brother. To many I'm an uncle, cousin or friend. To others I'm a bus driver, caregiver and a Bible college graduate. To the world I am a Canadian. Some may call me spiritual, religious, philosophical, an infidel or delusional. But if you take all that away I would still be a child of God and the friend of Jesus, and I make no apology for that. My question to you is who are you, and are you who you want to be?
